ON SATURDAY night Garry Jennings was presented with the Irish Tarmac Championship trophy.
Garry was presented with the trophy at the awards ceremony in the Stormont Hotel in Belfast which was hosted by the UAC (Ulster Automobile Club).
Garry said he thought it was fitting that the awards night was held north of the border this year as the title was coming back north to Fermanagh. The awards over the past few years have been in Galway and Cork but this year it was the turn of the UAC to host the awards night.
“After a lifetime of rallying through the good times and bad ones tonight I finally get my hands on the over all title Irish Tarmac championship trophy and it’s a very proud moment for me in rallying – I would like to thank you my rally supporters for all your kind words friendship through out the year – tonight’s a great celebration in Irish Motorsport.
“Tonight also I picked up the Bertie, Mark & Emma Fisher perpetual trophy which is so humbling as Bertie was my hero in rallying.
Garry also thanked Neil Doherty & Rory Kennedy my navigators keeping me safe and his rally Unreal team.
