£1.1 million raised – £ 1/2 million to go!

The on going work to the Enniskillen Presbyterian Church hall

AS WORK continues apace on the new Presbyterian Church Hall on Queen Elizabeth Road it is very much a case of plenty done but more yet to do.

Since the project started £1.1 million has been raised but to complete the project another £500,000 is required.
That’s the financial challenge facing Enniskillen Presbyterian Church as they watch their new church hall taking shape on Queen Elizabeth Road.

Following on from the success of last year’s Big Nearly New sale and coffee morning the Presbyterian Church are holding another Big Nearly New sale and coffee morning this Saturday, February 16 from 10.30am to 4.30pm in the halls of Darling Street Methodist Church.

The halls and renovations to the church building are on schedule to be finished by the end of June 2013, and meantime the congregation have been facing up to two challenges.

The first and most important is forming a mission plan that will chart our course for the future as we seek to use these facilities for the spiritual and social benefit of the whole community.

The second is paying for this project.
Almost all the money has come through direct giving but people are using their energy too. Last year a Big Nearly New sale and coffee morning in February raised nearly £5000.
This event was so successful and so much fun the church have decided to do it again and Saturday February 16 is the date.

Of course as the church has no hall of its own to hold it in, so they are using the halls of Darling Street Methodist Church.

The sale starts at 10.30 am and goes on until 4.30pm.
If we make another £5000 it will be fantastic.

The dream is for a suite of halls that over time becomes a resource that in the name of Jesus serves and brings good to the whole community, and Reverend David Cupples and the entire Presbyterian congregation would value your help in making this dream come true.
