BRITISH PRIME MINISTER David Cameron has announced today (Tuesday) that the G8 summit will be held in Fermanagh in 2013, with the Lough Erne Golf Resort as its venue.
The G8 contains leaders of eight of the world’s biggest economies – France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Canada, Russia, the United States and Britain.
David Cameron announced this news during a visit to Northern Ireland today. He was at the Lough Erne resort earlier today.
World leaders who are expected to descend upon Fermanagh include: David Cameron, Barack Obama, Angela Merkel, Francois Hollande, Vladamir Putin, Stephen Harper, Mario Monti, and Yoshihiko Noda.
The last time that the event was held in the UK was in Gleneagles, Scotland in 2005.
