THE FAMILY OF a Teemore teenager who died tragically last week have paid tribute to the boy who ‘could always bring a smile to your face’.
Peadar Lunney, aged 16, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday morning (September 26).
He was born with some challenging health issues, however got on with life supported by his family.
A student of Elmbrook School, Peadar enjoyed his time there where he was loved and cared for by all of the staff.
At home, he enjoyed interacting with his family and loved to see his carers coming to play with him and to tend to him when he was unwell.
Described by his family as ‘always happy with life’, Peadar could always bring a smile to the faces of those close to him. His family said he was a very active boy who enjoyed the outdoors.
The funeral, was carried out by Fr Fintan McKiernan at St Mary’s Church, Teemore. Fr McKiernan said: “It’s obvious that the community is full of admiration for the family. The family offered a dedicated service to Peadar throughout his life.
