Three die in separate tragedies
THE COUNTY is in shock this week with the passing of three members of the community in tragic circumstances.
Early on Sunday, a fatal house fire claimed the life of 60 year old Jimmy Murray, near Newtownbutler. Mr Murray was a plasterer by trade and lived alone. He is survived by his three children, Ann, Fiona, and Paul, and their mother, Maureen.
Trevor Morrow, 35, of Ballinamallard, died suddenly on Thursday and is survived by his wife Barbara, and three children, Megan, Jamie and Brooke.
And on Wednesday past, sixty-nine year old, Joe Gavin, died suddenly at his home in Main Street, Maguiresbridge. A trained butcher, Joe lived with his wife, Mary, and sons Jody and Paudy
Local councillor, Thomas O’ Reilly offered his thoughts: “It is a terrible way for any person to die, but when it happens in a place like Newtownbutler, where we have a close-knit community, and where people know each other, it is harder to take in.”
