Latest: Man named in Newtownbutler house fire



Fire crews were called to the Newtownbutler property at 7am on Sunday

TheĀ  man who died in a house fire on the Clones Road, Newtownbutler on Sunday morning has been named as 60 year-old Jimmy Murray.

The fire broke out in his rural home in the early hours on Sunday mornin and Fire crews were called to the fire at Clones Road in the Kilroot area of Newtownbutler shortly before 7am.

When they arrived, the roof of the house had partially collapsed.

A police spokesman said the cause of the fire is under investigation.

The death comes just over a week after the tragic death of Catherine Williamson in another house fire in the Windmill Heights area of Enniskillen.
