Drugs found in van search
Police in Enniskillen stopped a van in the Kilmacormick Avenue area on Friday last, September 7, and, following a search of the vehicle, seized a quantity of suspected cannabis resin and arrested two men. The two men, aged 18 and 19, were interviewed and subsequently released on police bail pending further enquiries and a detailed analysis of the drugs.
A police spokesman said: “We are determined to eradicate this type of activity. Police officers need the support from the local community to address the issue of drugs. The key to reducing the availability of drugs on our streets is information. The Enniskillen public are encouraged ‘not to turn a blind eye’ to the sale and supply of illegal drugs in our towns and villages. Local police are dedicated towards tackling the issue of drugs. This will remain a policing priority and we want to reassure the public that we will act upon any information received.”
Anyone with any information on the use or sale of illegal drugs should contact Enniskillen Police Station on 0845 600 8000 where the information will be treated in confidence. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can call the Crimestoppers numbre and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
