Boy recovering after crash ordeal

NINE-YEAR-OLD Aaron Parkinson is lucky to be alive after he  was knocked down by a car while on his bicycle last week, but thankfully he is now recovering well and has been discharged from Hospital.
The accident took place at 8.10pm on Wednesday September 5 in the Knocks area a few miles from Lisnaskea. In an update on Thursday a police spokesman described the young boy as being in a “serious, but stable” condition, while two of the passengers in the red Vauxhall astra involved in the crash were treated for shock.
The latest update from police was that the young boy’s condition was not life threatening, which has been met with great relief from the local community and local Councillor Ruth Lynch.

“I’m very relieved there wasn’t any life threatening injuries and I hope for a quick recovery. This is just a reminder that any accident has the potential to be a tragedy.”
