Milk Cup Fermanagh team kicks offs at Ferney
Fermanagh Premier and Junior teams will get the chance to entertain a home support this Saturday when they take to the splendid surface at Ferney Park to get their 2012 Milk Cup campaigns off and running.
The Juniors will face Cruz Azul at 3:00pm in the first of a double header with the Premier boys taking on premiership giants Newcastle at 5:00pm.
And the advice for supporters is to arrive early such are the crowds that are expected.
“We are expecting a large crowd at Ferney Park on Saturday so we would ask spectators to please arrive early at the ground. There will be parking restrictions and limited car parking.”
Meanwhile both managers are looking forward to the opportunity of playing at home in the opening game.
“The fact that we have a home tie in our first group game is a great incentive and the fact that it is against one of the top sides Newcastle United is even better, “ commented John Quinn, the manager of the Premier side revealed.
“I don’t think there will be too many nerves. But Newcastle might find it strange in front of a good home crowd and a team which will give them plenty to think about.”
