Fleadh makes a welcome return
AFTER an 11-year absence, the Fermanagh Fleadh returns to Irvinestown this weekend with high hopes of reliving the hugely successful fleadhs of the 90s when thousands flocked to the town for the annual showcase of traditional music in the county.
“ The great weather we had back then contributed to atmosphere we had in the town and there was great music and dancing on the streets. We will be hoping the weather will be kind to us and that we will get a great crowd,” said secretary and founding member of the Irvinestown branch of Comhaltas, Ann McCann.

While the weather is one variable that organisers cannot legislate for, it promises to be a great weekend for traditional music fans
