Attempted murder accused appears in court
A 21-YEAR old Enniskillen man has appeared in court charged with arson and attempted murder following an early morning house fire in Enniskillen.
Following a ‘999’ call made at 4.55am on Friday last, 25 May, two appliances from Enniskillen fire station and one from Irvinestown station went to the scene of a house on fire at Oakfield Court, Enniskillen, just off the Tempo Road.
Michael Cavanagh, the Station Commander at Enniskillen was among the first arrivals of fire fighters.
“I can confirm there was one occupant in the house at the time of the fire. When we arrived, it was a well-developed fire, so the first thing we did was to evacuate any occupants of this and the adjoining houses as a safety measure.”
